Speedometer Error

My speedometer is off by a fair bit, and it's a bit irritating. At a bit over 6%, it gets pretty significant at freeway speeds. The limiter still kicks in at an indicated 130, which equates to an actual 122mph. The tires are stock spec, so that's not the source of the issue. Is this common to Mercedes or do I have an issue?

My CLK55 is very close, according to it's digital speedo. In kmh (sorry..) my CLK says 104 and my actual is 103

My S430 on the digital cruise (it only shows digital speed for cruise) is perhaps not as scientific but a display of 104kmh is an actual of about 102

I have read in the past that different brands of tires are not all the same and this may contribute to the error.

On a side note, our Nissan Navara at work is 10% over and it's near new with the 'new from the factory floor' tires on it.

I looked for it online, in the manual, and playing with it but no luck. I found instructions for the older systems but the menu options suggested for those don't seem to exist in the 2004 system.
