Question Headlight replacement question?

Hello,

I have an 2005 s55 with factory xenon light. My question is I would like to replace my lights with aftermarket black housed lamps. But they say it would work if you have factory xenon lights. I would like to know why? if the connector different? anyway to still use them? I dont care about not using the factory xenon Ill just install an aftermarket kit.

Many thanks

The wiring is different, that's why you can not replace your factory xenon headlights with aftermarket non-xenon headlights directly, but someone here already done that, he modify the wiring himself to make it work, but he will not share that information.

I'm unsure if it's the same with pre-facelift cars, but both of my 2000 S500's had self leveling factory xenons under that god awful foggy lens, and I replaced them with the "incompatible" aftermarket facelift lamps. They came with two connectors one being for factory non-xenon plugs and the other is an adapter from the factory ballast connector to the new H7 bulb.

I keep looking at these:
https://www.amazon.com/Spyder-Auto-M...220+headlights
They have four different styles with HID. Looks like one with daytime LEDs and one without.
I would love to them lit and on a car...
