Leaking Evaporator Core Sealed for $178 + Labor.

Hello Guys.

So I had a leaking AC evaporator core and basically the refrigerant lasted in about a month. I was debating to spend the $2500+ for complete replacement, so I did the research about CryoSeal and believe it or not this is the 4th month and I have 39 degree air coming out of the vents. I really hope this will work for years to come, but I wanted to share my experience with the product and give feedback, so other MB owners can help themselves for a lot less.

This is the company page http://www.ssrintl.com/r134a.php

Few things. Only a person with 609 license can order it. It is $178 for the two can system R134A sealant. I had my independent Mercedes shop (Pacific Coast Benz) http://www.pacificcoastbenz.com/ in Costa Mesa perform the work. My leak appeared to be very small, because the system was holding vacuum for the time required by the sealant company. Also I did not replace the dryer as the system was not open except it was completely out of refrigerant prior to injection process.

Some people will give you BS about using this kind of stuff, but obviously they don't know what they are talking about. We are in 21st century and there are some incredible products out there.

Hope this helps and you can save yourself some money in case you have a leaking evaporator core.
