My s430 and cl500 have actual engine oil dipsticks , but my new 2003 s600 just has a red cap where the dipstick should be
can I just use my dipstick from these other cars in my s600?
do the s600 cars use a "dipstick tool" for the engine oil, like we have to use a dipstick tool for the transmission? Or is there a permanent engine oil dipstick I can leave inserted all the time ?
This is the biturbo v12. If you have one of these cars please let me know - the older nonturbo v12 might be different
i ssw some on eBay such as item number 181710619533 but it says it's only for the nonturbo v12- wondering if the turbo v12 uses a different kind
anyone have the correct part number for the turbo v12 Dipstick ?

I've answered on the other side too...highly unlikely the v8 and the v12 would have the same dipstick.Originally Posted by tusabes

I think there is a special tool you must use specifically designed for the M275 engine, and you cannot leave it inside the engine.

The M275 does have a slot for the dip stick, but mine is blocked off by some sort of metal (maybe previous owner left it in there and it broke inside)

Am I missing something here? All the V12 biturbo's I have owned (4) read and display the oil level from the menu in the instrument cluster. Access it with the buttons on the steering wheel. Never needed a dipstick.
