2001 S500 Acceleration delay.

My 2001 S500 has been sitting for over a year now. I just replaced the battery and she started up fine. Problem though is there is a delay with the gas pedal. It takes a few second to accelerate.

I have it in a trusted shop now and the code is reading P0122.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well..

Looks like I need to purchase and install a new Accelerator Peddle Module as the sensor is built in the whole assembly.

I will ask this after researching though. Once I replace the part and clear error code. No need to get it programmed correct? On board will reset the new piece?
