2005 MB S500
ez pass
recently bought a 2005 S500 Base. Love the car but I've got a crazy issue.....I cant get the ez pass transponder to work. I am on my third unit, (EZ Pass folks think I'm wacked). I mounted it under the shade in the center but have now moved it to various areas around the windshield and cant get it to read. Anyone have any ideas?

basically the only Unshielded areas are the black dotted areas to the left and right of the rear view mirror , and a small square at the bottom

I went through 3 stickers for the automatic car wash until a kid figured out. The latest sticker is now on the sunroof.
If running out of real estate, sunroof is another option.

Sweet baby Jesus! I've been getting unpaid ezpass notices like crazy!!!
I was starting to think there was something up with the windshield when the transponder worked in my ML, and didn't in the S the next day.

you can also get the external front plate EZ-Pass. this same thing was happening in my GLK. for some reason i was unable to get the external one via the website, i had to actually call the customer service number and ask for it. it works much more reliably.
