Hot front armrest area.

Is it normal for the shallow tray under the front armrest to become very warm when the rear climate control is turned off? Cheers!!!

PS: I got the rear DVD screen working!!! I didn't realise there was a scroll wheel on the remote to select the DVD player!!!

Is the air inlet closed or (more likely) open?

There is an air control inside the center console, on the front wall.

With my car having rear climate control the tray under the armrest is extremely shallow to the point of being useless!!! There are no controls to open or close in there. When the rear climate is turned on the armrest area cools down, it only gets hot when the rear climate is set to "0". I don't often have people in the back so the rear climate isn't that important I just want to check that it's safe to leave it like it is.
