A/C Malfunction

Hello MB Family,
The A/C on the 2006 S500 only blows from the vents on the driver side. Could this be a blend door problem?

I have the same problem. How do I get to the blend door?

This may seem obvious, but is not intended to be insulting, so please don't take it that way...
The first thing to check is that no one has turned the vent or vents off by rotating the control knob next to the vent.

For some inexplicable reason MBZ used non durable foam plastic strips on the edges of the various air control flaps/valves to reduce noise of the doors operating and rattling while driving. Some cars suffer from the anti-rattle foam strips turning to sticky mush. The 'fix' is to remove the HVAC 'box' , remove the foam strips and glue felt replacement strips (self made) anti-rattle strips. Parts cost perhaps $5 at Hobby Shack for enough felt for a dozen cars. Labor at Dealer is +/_$1500 as the entire dash assembly has to be removed to get the HVAC box out, and the coolant and A/C 'freon' also have to be drained and replaced too. .
