ABC pump bearing bad
Anybody replaced one or know where to get the new bearing? The pump has been replaced a year or two ago and works fine, just starting to make the belt squeal and pulley wobble slightly.

Um, if the belt squeals and the pulley wobbles, I would say your definition of "works fine" needs to be updated. It's NOT fine. Mine was like that, and after pulling the pump, the bearings were so bad, I'm amazed it hadn't already exploded. I would guess that mine was going to frag and strand my car within the next 200 miles. You need a new pump, ASAP. Replace the belt while you're in there.

Most (but not all) bearings are identified by numbers etched into the races. If you disassemble your pump, you will determine several things:
- Can you remove and replace the pump yourself?
- Do you want to do so?
- Can you disassemble the pump?
- Is the bearing marked?
- Can you source the bearing? (Rarely, you will find that the bearing is not commercially available. Most are readily available from a bearing supply house or industrial supply house.)
- Can you get everything back together, bleed the system, etc., etc.?
- Is this such a PITA that next time you will buy a new or rebuilt pump?

I can do anything and everything.

These pumps can not be bought new anymore. Has anybody read the reviews on eBay? Some people say the remanufactured pumps are worse than what they took out of their car.
