hydraulic leak but system changed

2003 Mercedes s600
Hi I recently purchased this car and it had 60,000 miles on it. The hyrdaulic fluid is leaking. The previous owner recenly changed over to regular suspension but left the parts of the system in place incase someone want to convert if back. Any thoughts on what the problem might be and what the solution could be? Thanks

is it leaking from the pump ? Most people keep the abc pump because it controls both the abc and power steering . Only one or two people have ever changed the abc tandem pump to a power steering only pump

so if the pump has a leak it will keep leaking . You can find abc pumps for $250 on Rockauto.com

some people let the abc pump run dry but it usually dies after a few months like that and you'll lose the power steering assist

if it's leaking elsewhere it's probably just from a old abc hose and you can ignore it
