New tires needed! Continental DWS 06 or Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 plus?
I need new tires for and not sure what to go with.
Continental DWS 06 or Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 plus? These are both all season high performance. Has anyone tried both or have any options. I think both of these tires were re-done in the past year with these newer models....

Just put my second set of Michelin AS3+ on the S600. Had a set of Conti DWS on my Volvo T5. That car sees more inclement weather, so the choice was biased toward all weather performance at the cost of some dry performance.
I think the Contis would be better if you encounter snow. The Michelins are superior in performance on dry/wet. The AS3+ aren't actually good in snow, it's more a case of "they don't suck as bad as summer performance tires" while still keeping that level of dry performance.
True summer performance tires are dangerous in snow. The AS3+ less so. The Contis would be better still, but all-seasons will always be far short of true winter tire performance below freezing or on snow/ice.
So, if, like me, you want a high-performance tire that won't be downright dangerous should you get caught in bad weather, then the AS3+ can't be beat. It's a very impressive tire...
