Rear Shock Replacement - Question about battery disconnect
Hi all. I am about to undertake replacing a rear strut. I found useful info on this site, but I have one specific question. One youtube video I found said that you can just disconnect (pull) the Airmatic fuse before doing the job. I can't find a good fuse diagram for my 2004 S430 4matic anywhere. I see plenty for the 2000-2002, but not for facelifted 4matic cars. So, here are my specific questions:
1. Is it possible to simply pull the fuse and leave battery connected?
2. If so, where exactly is it on my specific car (or where can I find a fuse diagram for a 4matic)?
3. If it is necessary to disconnect the battery, can someone recommend a device that will work on this car to retain memory?
Thanks in advance for any help!
