Sport Suspension

Has anybody driven a sport and nonsport S430 or S500 back to back? Can you tell me if the sport package makes the ride noticiably harsher? I like the ride of the nonsport but I love the looks of the sport package. Thanks.

Havent driven but I have riden in both sport and non sport S500's and too me the difference was not much. Still had the same smooth ride, couldnt entirely feel the bumps in the road, yet still connected with the outside world. Makes the car look great!!!

18 inch low profile high performance tires will ride harsher than the balloon 16 inch tires on the non sport. However I think the 18 inch wheels ride ok.

i upgraded the stock 16in to 18in amg, it does ride harsher compare to the stock 16, but still rides good. handling improves alot tho.

Post ...

Drove both standard and AMG sport pkg.
Ride qualy supposed to be softer on standard 16", but haven't noticed it much (may be because my sport has ABC?)
Handling is better on 18" AMG sport.
The only thing regarding 18" sport - watch for curbs - otherwise you hit it with the rim
