Go to the W220 Encyclopedia at the top of the page, where it says "...START HERE". Scroll down to "Instrument Cluster", and read thru the last thread there - it will answer your questions.
For the trunk - Find the interior floor light located behind the right rear passenger's heels. Pull the lamp housing out of the carpeted wall. Find the yellow 20-Amp fuse located near the end closest to the center of the car. Remove the fuse, wait ten seconds, and reinsert it. Try the key fob and door button. If the trunk opens, but then quits working again after a few days, the pneumatic actuator is probably leaking. An "Advanced Search" at the top of the page in the W220 forum (scroll down to find it) on "trunk release" or "trunk lock" should give you the information that you need.
