Airmatic failure
My 2003 S430 had a Airmatic compressor stay running until it smoked. Replaced the pump, but still can't clear the visit shop code and won't rise when selected. I've checked the 3 fuses that are in the Airmatic system, swapped relays and still no pump. I've also determined that I don't have 12volts at the middle 40 amp fuse on the passenger side fuse box. Which is for the pump. Any ideas on where to look next? Does the code need to be cleared before it will work properly? The car ride height hasn't changed at all. Just can't get that darn pump to run. When I apply 12 volts directly to the pump it runs fine.
