Heater question
Hello,
When I bought the car, the heater wasn't working at all but the A/C is fine so this winter I have checked the heat system , we found that the Duo valve need to be replaced.
After replacing the Duo valve ther heater worked fine.
My question is: I am new born for this car so I wish to know heat mechanisn.
1. While in summer when EC button(pre 2001) engaged only fan is working and when it is off ac compressor engaged but i notice that i winter when the button is off the air temps get out depend on temp at control module, if EC ON high temp air get out whatever temp is so why that and how it was working.
2. Doea A/c compressor engaged if EC button is off while we use it as heater since I notice a change in engine sound when I switch the button ON/OFF.
3. Any details how does this system work in manual and auto mode.
