I saw these on ebay. BiXenon headlights for about 1,700.00.

That is the cheapest I could find. I wanted to update my 01 S430.

What do you guys think, and would they fit with any problems?

I don't know, it's a little "iffy" to me since they are outside of the U.S. Plus all of their feedback is in German so I can't read what they are actually saying, although mostly positive.

I would be careful about it. The other thing is why do they state that it is for 1998+ and not 2000+? Did the w220 come out earlier in Germany?

I had a little experience with out of US merchants (actually from Germany as well) and my experience is positive (for now).
I am not sure why he put 1998+ where it shall be 1999+ (in most of the Europe cars are not considered by model year, they considered by date when the vehicle was made).
As far as I know W220 was in production since 1999. If there earlier production of W220 were in Europe then 1998 might be the actual start year for W220 (again I am just guessing).

Another point that seller wants only 20% prepayment with full payment on delivery which makes it a little less problematic IMO.

He does have a pay 20% deposit and balance on delivery.
You should be ok he looks like he sells alot of stuff with positive reviews.
