Parking lights

The simplest of things are the most frustrating with this car it seems.

I cant get my parking lamps to work.
I've put new bulbs in them, but nothing.
They are the little bulbs that go into the side of the High beam reflector.
At most, they flash three times when I unlock the car with the remote, but I get nothing else.
Left SAM is reporting code B1629, component E1e3 in the left headlamp unit is faulty.
Right SAM is same deal.

Can anyone explain the functionality of the light switch as well?
To my understanding, from all the way left to right,
Left standing lights
Right standing lights
Normal Off
Running lights
Parking lights
Normal On
Pull out once for front fogs
Pull out additional once for front and rear fogs

In addition, I am getting B1633, Component e6/3 Left side marker lamp is defective.
It seems to flash off every 5 seconds or so but eventually stops doing that and stays on.
I'm going to sand the contacts and try another bulb on it, but this is hopefully not a big deal.

The previous owner stuck those stupid led bulb replacements everywhere in this car, so I'm hoping they have not damaged anything causing this.

Did you replace the parking lights with halogen or LEDS? Can’t just put in any LEDS in there... have to be canbus enabled. We carry ones that will work for your application. If halogens, power cycle the vehicle to reset the SAM?

I put in traditional lamps, 2825s I believe.

I power cycled it, even disconnected the battery and all.

EDIT: put another new set of bulbs in and they now work (pulled the other new out for the side markers).
I dont even know anymore
