I/m pretty sure the last or latest NAV discs for 2000-2006 W220 chassis was 2009 and I believe you can get them on E-Bay for around ten dollars US

the w220 used two different kinds of discs , the earlier ones used CD-ROM and the later ones used dvd
the dvd systems (2004-2006 USA cars , don't know about South Africa which years used DVD ) can be updated as far as 2014
the earlier cd rom systems are basically useless . Your phone nav system is far better

Yes the 2000-2003 uses a multi disc set and 2004-2006 use a single disc. I bought a new disc set of ten {USA] in 2012 and they were rendition 2009.My buddy has a 2006 and he uses one disc only which he updated in 2016 with rendition 2014. Both of us bought them from E-Bay Mine were around ten dollars each, my buddy says he got his for 49 dollars.either way discs for the 2000-2003 are still available on E-bay

I have a 2003 W220 (S55 AMG) and I am looking for a navigation disk of the American Southeast (I believe it is disc #9). Are there any links for that individual disc for sale? I am not looking for the entire set, only that one disc. Also, it should be noted that I am in the U.S. as I hear that location is very important for the type of disc needed. Thank you!

I believe you can find single discs on E-Bay, True, some new cul-de-sac sacs built since 2009 are missing but my NAV in my 2003 works fine enough.Also when I drive past a discs area the major roads are still there but the secondary roads are not. It does tell you to change discs.I bought my 2003 S500 new and have just turned 60k miles this week. As mentioned in my previous post I bought new discs in 2012 or so and they were 2009 renditions. I was told at the dealer this was the last update for my multi-disc system, but others may have better info than I.

I have the disk for my area and have never used the navigation. I find it to be fugly, weird and annoying to set.
Phone/Google maps is GAZILLION times better and in better position (with suction cup) for me to view.
