Hello Guys, Learning the ropes hope somebody can help. I just replaced inner axle boots no problem pretty easy unfortunately vibration from ball joint separation phase caused hydro reservoir to leak so changed out left front strut OH sorry it is a 4matic strut also was a snap now here is where the gremlins sneaked in in replacement suspension just hung down so all back together no problem but presafe unavailable message and feels like abs is kicking in car on lift wheels off ground apply brake in gear drive train turning GRRRRRRRR car will not rise saw left front rotor pulsing no wheel on front could not see left I did it Easter after my prayers no one to watch rt side. By the way Happy Easter to all. Going to check plug later but I read to reset you have to resink all seats, seat belts steering wheel which is true and how do you do it. Also please I changed pan gasket on trans thought it was leaking still leak seems to come from pass side front of trans there is a round can or modulator or something just above pan flange would replace that but I don't know what it is. Also can not get good answer on how to check fluid level did not change oil out due to mileage fluid was nice goldish color. We know why but you think American car manufacturers would have caught on to slick pan attachment only six bolt clamp things LOVE MY 05 Jag XJ8L and OH my bad again These issues are on my 06 Benz s430 4Matic LOVE these cars even with little issues. Sorry for the long windedness If anyone can help I Thank you all in advance. John

I can't help with the suspension issue but the tranny on this car leaks from the 12 pin plug on rear passenger side of tranny. you need the plug insert and an o-ring for the plug you can find it at Eeuroparts for 15 dollars.
Also get the proper dipstick from Eeuroparts 50 dollars, insert until it bottoms out then pull to check, a tube attachment is specified for top of fill tube but dealer mechanic says no one uses it, Just insert stick softly until it touches bottom of pan. you will have excess dipstick, it will not go in all the way, maybe8 inches sticking out when fully inserted. follow instructions on dipstick for fill level hot or cold Important! or your pin plug will leak again quickly if you overfill.
