Sounds like you have a loose wire behind the airbag.

I'd replace the whole steering wheel assembly, as it is dangerous to tamper with an life enduring part. Try to find one in a junk yard.

If you do decide to tackle this yourself, it is imperative that you disconnect the battery at least a couple of hours before you start, and not reconnect it until you are finished with the airbag.
