Transmission fluid choices
For the 722.6 are there other options for transmission oil besides MB brand.. Anything I can find at pep boys

Quite a few of us like the Shell ATF 134, which is MB-approved. The easiest and cheapest source that I could find was a local Shell Distributor (not a service station, but the distributor).

On the Mercedes-homepage you can find a list of approved fluids for your vehicle (Mercedes-Benz Specifications for Operating Fluids - or in German "Betriebsstoff-Vorschriften" BeVo):

You need to know the spec you're looking for - e.g. 229.51 for engine oils - and then you'll see a list of matching and approved products. Then you can simply look for the cheapest in your area
