StarTAC Install on S500.

Does anybody know where the PSC unit for a StarTac on an S500 goes? I am trying to do the upgrade from analog to digital StarTAC myself. Thanks.

Adam,

Would that be anywhere near the CD changer? Do I have to take out the CD changer?

It is near the CD Changer/Amp. When you have the liner off, look in line of the CD Change/Amp, however, look up. You should see the black triangular PSE mounting bracket wedged into upper qtr panel. The PSE is actually hidden by the gutter in the qtr panel, however, if you know what to look for you shouldnt miss it. It has the compensator attached to the PSE bracket as well, so it is a dead give away to the location. The only reason what you would have to remove the CD Changer/Amp bracket is if you needed to remove or change the VRM (Voice Recognition) module as it is attached to the CD Changer/Amp bracket.

Interesting, On euro cars its under the rear seat. Which can be awkard to get to if you have rear power seats I guess, so they put it somewhere easier on US cars ..
