S600 windshield/V1 question
I drove our 03 S600 out of town this weekend and I took one of the V1's for protection. I know the S600 to be unable to read tolltags and such unless its in the dotted black area next to the rearview mirror, therefore I decided this was the best place for the V1. I got some alerts but not nearly as many as I do when in our other vehicles. Can anyone shed some light on this?
TIA

try looking for the holigram located on the passenger side lower part of the windshield about foot to a foot and a half in from the fender, see the windshield has metal in it everywhere but where the holigram is for the rain sensors, we have found that by putting any radar detection devices in this holigram area does not effect its ability to work properly

huh? that area is not for the rain sensors, it's for radar detectors. The metal oxide coating is left off in that area for that specific purpose. The rain sensor is behind the rear view mirror, and can be seen as a small square from outside the car.....
