2001 S500L bluetooth integration for audio/calls
Trying to figure out the best option for getting music from my phone to car. i tried looking on the stickies but all the websites with for bluetooth integration seem to not exist any more. id prefer not switching my whole deck to an aftermarket if its possible. i mainly want music through bluetooth, if i could also have my phone calls coming through the stock system as well that would be fantastic.
thanks in advance for any info/ leads

Definitely not the most sophisticated, but it is by far the cheapest, and it works...
You can buy a small bluetooth adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket and links to your phone, then sends the signal to an FM frequency that you select. It will take care of music, phone GPS voice, and telephone (all are controlled from the phone), is within easy reach, allows phone on/off, has volume control (you actually have three volume controls - phone, bluetooth adapter, and stereo) and allows you to skip forward and backward on songs. Costs less than $20.
Biggest problem with the W220 is that the lighter socket is not conveniently located.

There are other options too besides the cassette tape Bluetooth and the cigarette lighter Bluetooth
Motorola roadster clips to your visor or wherever . It has an internal rechargeable battery or you can hardwire it so it doesn’t take up lighter socket
then there are fancier adapters for $300/600 that replace your cd changer or integrate behind your radio
