icarsoft has a scanner with the following description "we have a new model which will allow you to download up to 5 vehicle makes software. The item name will be iCarsoft CR V2.0 (1+4)"

My question is will this scanner have ALL of the functions of the MBII?

I reached out to the company and they got back to me. Just incase anybody else has this question I will share their response.

Yes,CR V2.0 can cover the MB II and LR II's (Land Rover & Jaguar) function if you select the models.

C550 V2.0 is a private label item,it has the same functions as CR V2.0.

I couldn't find it on Amazon but was checking the same thing. Seems to me that its FAR MORE SUPERIOR to MB II as you can have 5 times the functionality of MB II.
From what I understood, you can add 5 makes onto it but you can not delete any profiles once installed. Still, a big big advantage for DIYers.
I may sell my MB one day but I will stay within 5 makes in the next 20 years or so.

Now I am in doubt.
Is it 5 makes or 5 models?
If I select MB + LR + BMW for example, won't I be able to use it for ALL models of those makes?

On the FAQ of their website it clearly says 5 vehicle makes so we're good.

I bought this as well. The manual instruction does not say anything about loading it. I had looked around the internet for information but not yet found anything.
Could you please point me to some information what needs to be done to get started?
