Oil change question

Ok so i did my first oil change on my w220 today. The problem is i forgot to warm up the car so only about 5-6 L of oil came out. I only put about 5 1/2 L of oil in and the dipstick showed max. I warmed the car up and looked at the dipstick again and it showed max again. Could 3 L of oil have stayed in the engine? When i drained it the car was high up on jack stands but i only had the front on jack stands. Anybody have an idea of whats happening here?

Standard amount is 8 Liters. Hard to tell If a cold engine holds back 2.5 liters? Maybe if it is really cold, yes

Hot or cold it will not hold oil depending on temperature, that is if enough time is allowed to drain it at cold temps.

No.
You don't drain the oil cooler and its lines - No idea how much oil is left there.

I would recommend using a MityVac to suck the oil out of the dipstick tube. This is what they do at the dealer, it works great and is quick.
