Hi,
I had recently replaced the trunk/boot lifters (left and right) on my 2006 s500 then started doing having this problem. The trunk won't close fully (see pictures). The car is equipped with soft/auto open and close.
I compared the part number of old and new lifters and matched perfectly. Thought it was the new lifters so i put back the old one and still same result. Any ideas?
