2000 S430 versus 2003 E320
Does anyone have any words of wisdom on whether picking a 2000 S430 (less than 55,000) over a 2003 E320 (approx 15000 mi)?
Thanks in advance.

Unless topspin4hand lives in Europe, the E320 MY03 he's referring - W211 body.
The only thing I can note that both MY00 S-Class and MY03 E-Class are introductory years for those models and both might have issues!
Regardless of many little things that have to be re-done on MY00 W220, MY03 W211 is a not lesser nightmare from what I read.
Yet both vehicles are good and it’s just a matter of your preference of more prestige and luxury (S-Class) or more noise, less room, less power and better agility and longer warranty (E-Class).

w211 & w124
That is the same dilemma I have. I would go for a 2001 S if you can, at least you'll get the second year model. Also, the S is much roomier so if you're going to have passengers (or family) in your car that could be a big deciding feature.
My biggest dilemma is whether I want to get into something that's in it's last year of production as opposed to the E that has at least 4 years with that body style. Then I see a w140 pass by and my head still turns so I say to myself, the w220 will always be a head turner if it's kept clean and looking good. My vote is most likely going to be for the S unless I can find an 03 E500 with all the features I want for close to the same price as an 01 S class.
