Trans FLUSH with mityvac??

I searched and didnt find anything on this.
I want to flush the rest of the fluid besides the pan. I know of the MB suggested way to open the banjo bolt and put a line in while a second person starts the engine to push fluid out etc.. But I was wondering if I it would work if I was to connect the mityvac to the cooler line and suck the fluid out of the converter without starting and stopping the engine 3 liters at a time. Or is the running engine the best way to do this?

Let's see...

Turn the key once, wait thirty seconds, or pump a little handle 12,000 times?

I know what my choice will be.

MityVac flush

I have a 9qt MityVac, and it only took me 5-10 pumps for it to create enough vacuum to drain all 8.5qts out of my engine while I ssat back and enjoyed my drink.

As far as a trans flush, it would honestly be safer to go down the trans tube that Mercedes caps off, and monitor how much you take out, so you know exactly how much to put back. Also, pay attention to the color of your fluid. If it's very dark/thick, it may be alot safer for you just drain/fill the pan, than to push it all through the system more. (you can also make the call if it needs it or not just by getting enough in the tube to inspect, then put it back if it looks fine). Same goes for all types of flushes. Whether it be the brake fluid, power steering etc. It's always better to remove as much contamination as you can before pushing it through its designated system.
