W220 upgrade pre-lift xenon to lift H7
Hello. I have W220 pre-facelift, xenon lamp. I bought the lift H7 lamp, but now I realized that there might be a problem when changing xenon to H7 (wiring or something). Can i do it? I am asking for any instructions if it is possible. Thanks

The wiring is the same, try it and see, but the car will likely stop the lamp function and give a fault that the lamp is shorted or something. The car is expecting 35W and will see 55W with the H7 bulbs.
The only way to do it properly is through programming. There is a setting you will have to change in star/das diagnostics. It is in the EZS control unit (ignition switch). should be a variable called "Xenonlicht" that needs to be changed to "nicht vorhanden". I don't think it requires developer key at least.
This is of course going to require you have a star kit or know someone with one.
