Does anyone know if S430/S500 cars were even fitted with Distronic or at all common? I would assume one could have built one with it but I'm guessing most of cars were pre-built with options fitting for the general area they'd be sold in.

Reason being I'd like to find all of the components for cheap at a junkyard, and S55/S600 cars do not show up in junkyards.
I have found information that it is possible to do this retrofit if the car is built before mid 2004 and have access to a star diagnostic which I do.
