Last night my instrument panel.went.out. I was able to get some fuse numbers to check. F79. F84. F85. But I cant.locate.them . I have checked all.fuses on both sides of the engine.compartment. none.are.bad. I think there may.be a.small.panel on the.dash somewhere . But.the.end.pieces.of the.dash where the vents.are seem permanent. Can someone.advise where the.fuse numbers are located. Thanks.

 

Open the right front door. Pry the cover off the end of the dash.

 

found the fuses and one was bad. Replaced it and the only apparent change is the turn signals now work. Instrument panel is still dark. Tried the reset button.....nothing. tried the dimmer adjustment knob...nothing. Any ideas appreciated.

 

Probable cause is failure of one or more electronic components in the instrument cluster. This was a well-known problem, and resulted in a recall - long over. There are many threads on the problem and repair on the BenzWorld W220 Forum, including this one.
