I own a 2002 S500, My issue is with rear tire life. I have replaced the rear tires three times since purchase (total 50m miles). I have had the alignment done in reputable tires shops with state of the art equipment. The last time it was aligned, the tech explained that the big German cars all run with set negative camber. That explains the wear on the inside of the tires. Is there a solution to my situation that anyone has experienced out there?

'94 SL600,'05 SL600,'06 S65,'07 E63,'14 E63S,'09SL600 all sold, ‘15 S65,‘18 E63S,'17 SL65, '17S65Cab
I put 80k miles on my 2006 S65 before I sold it. The rear tires always wore evenly across the tread when properly inflated. Something must be worn or it remains incorrectly aligned. Mine was always aligned by the dealer.

I think I have discovered a possible solution to the issue, I discovered a company while net surfacing called K-Mac. They address the recognized problem by manufacturing a adjustable rear bushing kit that goes beyond factory tolerances. If there claim is correct then my problem will be solved, although these kits are not cheap. I love my MBZ so I will have these installed and report back. I am sure there are other W220 owners out there with the same frustrating ailment.
