i need help asap
The other day i accelerated onto the freeway flooring the gas. I accelerated to the point where i hit the kickdown switch. immediatley after my car would no longer accelerate and hasnt since. theres no check engine light and the only code thrown was my MAF sensor but i dont know if that will actually cause the car to not accelerate at all what so ever. does anyone know what the issue may be?

More detailed information might help get better suggestions. For example - Are you saying that the engine starts and runs well, but will not speed up above an idle? Or that the car is drivable, but accelerates very, very slowly? Does engine speed increase with throttle movement in neutral? Are the brake lights on all the time? The more details, the better.

The car womt accelerate above idle unless i repeatedly stomp on the gas pedal. Once i do not this the car becomes stuck thinking im accelerating, increasing the rpms yet im not at all. even after this the accelerator still will not work or have any effect on the vehicle moving.

I had that problem in 2007, and a new pedal assembly solved it. Pretty common failure.

B4 you spend several hundred dollars on a new accelerator pedal assembly, have a Mercedes Dealer Tech scan the entire vehicle for error codes. NOT ALL ERRORS will trigger a CEL. While I believe it is most likely a faulty pedal assembly, I strongly advise a thorough analysis because the electronic throttle system can also be faulty and cause the same symptoms.
These are VERY COMPLICATED electronic engine management systems and many esoteric component failures can manifest as similar behaviors. There may be an extended warranty on the accelerator assembly because their failure is disturbingly common.

As was mentioned in the 2007 thread, this part fails with such frequency that replacing it will prevent a certain problem in the future in the unlikely event that it is not the case of the current problem.
