SDS, for $450 - $550, so you can actually find what is wrong with the car, and how to fix it...

Mercedes
Depends what your computer issue is

the 4 matched parts you need to swap are key , ignition switch the key goes into , the shifter and the ecu .

Buy a matched set on ebay from a seller offering free return if it doesn’t fix your problem . Make sure the ecu part number matched your old one

Star Diagnostic System, also called DAS, Diagnostic Assistance System. This is the very expensive ($35K or more) dealer computer system - but in a Chinese clone, available for $450 - $650. It includes the most complete diagnostic system available for Mercedes vehicles (basically everything that they built from the late nineties on). It includes the complete shop manuals, parts listings, guided tests, module programming, etc., etc.

Not really easy to learn, not really intuitive - but absolutely necessary if you really want to maintain and repair a Mercedes vehicle.
