Engine Air Filter Opinion Needed
Can anyone advise as to whether it is worth 5 times more for the genuine Mercedes Airfilter - even at 25% off they are $100 for 2 from the on line dealer plus shipping vs the Mann which are $21 for two on Amazon the car has 110k miles on it and is an 05 - it is in excellent condition and I hope to get a few more years out of it. I used to buy the Bosch ones but they are apparently not the OEM ones.

This place is a joke.
MANN makes them for MB. I just bought the MANN version for two of my cars, got lucky and found them on sale @ Amazon $15 a pair. Exactly the same but without the Mercedes-Benz lettering. Go for it.

Mann is a good brand. Be careful who you buy from on Amazon, not all sellers are honest. There are sellers peddling fake parts. I would go with FCP Euro, and get a Mann filter from them.

Air Filters
Thanks for all the feedback - I bought the Mann's - I usually buy from - shipped and sold by Amazon or Amazon's Pick/Favorite and have never been let down.
The MB dealer told me theirs had some special fleece on them but for 5 times more I am sure the Mann's will be adequate.
I could not find any third party for the cabin filters so I did buy the OEM on Amazon - the picture showed 2 but the description was vague - so I will see when the box gets here
