Silver grille on a silver S class

Silver grille on a silver S class
I'm thinking of getting my chrome grille painted silver to match my car. The chrome would remain the same, just the strips behind the chrome would be silver. I think I've seen this done somewhere before but can't find any pictures. Does anyone have a pic of one like that or can offer their feedback on it. Thanks.

If you want to paint either piece of the grill though just take it apart (it's 2 pieces)

I've seen in on a brand new silver CL at the dealership and it was hot. Of course the CL grille is bigger. As long as the paint matches it will be a nice enhancement. But if you really want to set it off, go with the big grille, paint it silver, and add the flat hood ornament. Just my 2.

I don't think I really want the star in the grille. I like the simplicity in the stock chrome grille but I figure painting the strips silver would enhance the looks...
