Keyless go start-stop micro switch

Hi all,
Can anybody help me with a part number/supplier for the micro switch that fits under the chrome button on the gear selector knob on my W220 please.
I just got quoted NZ$3424-81 + GST + Freight from Germany.
I know dealerships charge like wounded bulls but THIS MUCH?????????
The part is quite common to other MB's as well.

I don't believe they have even looked for the part I need but have just quoted for the whole gear selector unit complete with gear knob.

Any help, even with just a part number would be an immense help .

If the switch is totally dead, you have nothing to lose...

Arrange a work area with good lighting where you will not lose any tiny parts that fly out. Very carefully and slowly, pry the little silver cap off of the switch, holding it so that any tiny spring-loaded parts won't fly away into a dark hole. Examine the switch to determine how it operates, and see if you can fix it so that it works again.

If no luck, start hunting online and in wrecking yards.

Good luck.
