Hi all,
I have a RHD 2000 S500 and it developed a fault whereby nothing would work on the left hand passenger side of the car. Various suggestions were made that it was a faulty DCM. I took it to the Mercedes dealers who put it on the Star scope and they said it was definitely the DCM. I purchased a new one only to find that it didn't fix the fault.
Since then I have replaced both control modules and all the other switches from a donor car that was tested and all the switches worked perfectly. I still have the same problem, nothing on the left hand side even after swapping everything back to the donor car and finding everything working ok.
I have replaced the 40 amp fuses in 13 and 39 per the fuse chart but still nothing.
What am I missing? Is there another fuse or relay that I should check? If so, where is it located?.
I now have two sets of modules and switches but they won't work in my car so any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rollerman.

It seems clear there is a broken wire/loose connection somewhere in the wiring between the two doors. There is no easy way to trace the wiring, but it must be done. The wiring probably runs through the Signal Acquisition Modules. Good luck and good hunting. I would first check all the relays.

Going to spend the weekend trying to check all the fuses and relays before I tackle the wiring loom. I'm running out of options and the dealer is being no help whatsoever as he wants to sell me a new DCM but has no idea which side I need.
By the way, what is a DAS?
