W220 Passenger Seat Pad
I started getting the message RESTR. SYS. DEFECT. SRS VISIT WORKSHOP. In looking at possible causes, one thing I noticed is that the front passenger seat pad connect has a habit of oxidizing over time and when it gets bad enough, it triggers the error. Also, I notice that the light by the shifter that lights up when no one is in the front seat is off when no one is in the seat. So I suspect the pad or the connector is causing the problem. I found the connector, 2nd yellow one from the back. I can't figure out how to remove the connector to clean it. Is there a special trick or tool?

SRS CODE
SRS Child Seat Sensor in the seat cushion that is failing. There are work arounds that will emulate the sensor and the code will not occur. Must know. Your system will no longer have the sensor active in the seat cushion Search for SRS emulators MBZ.
