Drastically need help

My cps went bad and went to change it and it broke off in the housing we drilled that one out put the new one in and everything was good for a day then the car wouldn’t start again so I ran a diagnostic on it and sure enough it said the sensor was bad again so I went to change it out again and when I pulled it out it was already snapped in half 🤦🏾‍♂️ So I tried to drill the little piece out that was in there and it fell in 🤦🏾‍♂️ I was able to move it out of the way where another sensor can be installed but my question is there any way to get the little snapped off piece out without pulling the trans and will that piece being inside there effect anything as far as the car running I don’t want to destroy anything inside the bell housing
