Unhappy airmatic mode switch

Hi all,I had a problem with my 2000 W220 S500.It said Y10 speed sensitive.I changed the part and sorted the problem.I now have another problem come up in that my suspension mode switch seems to be working back to front. When I push it forward until both light are on the dash says convenience mode, but it's like driving across a ploughed field. When I press it back so there is only one light on then the dash gives no indication. When I press it back again until all lights are out the dash says airmatic sports mode 2.The ride isn't awful, but it isn't the lovely floaty convenience mode it was.Has the switch failed or is there an easy fix? I used an Icarsoft MB V3.0 diagnostic tool and it shows no faults.I recently had several suspensions faults(bushes) repaired but this shouldn't affect that switch. W220 Gremlins again, but I still love this thing. The suspensions seems fine it doesn't sag on any corner even after a couple of weeks it stays pretty level. Any and all help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The easy answer is to adjust the switch until you like the ride, leave it there, and don't worry about what it says.

thanks Wally, but the switch has 3 fixed positions, none of which is now convenience. When both lights are on and the dash says convenience, it is actually in track mode(awful ride)and when all lights are out it says airmatic sports mode 2 but probably in sports mode 1,certainly not in convenience where I would like it to be.I can't seem to access that.

Standard operation: no light equals Comfort, one light equals Sport 1, two lights equal Sport 2.
