Re-clocking/ aligning the steering wheel on a W220?
Quick question: Are you able to re-clock the steering wheel location from the upper column/ steering wheel?
I dropped my subframe & when reinstalling the lower slip yolk/ spline, I didn't get imperfectly straight (it was a bit of a pain in the butt & took 2x people. I', wondering if I can just it from above by removing the steering wheel & adjusting the spines at the wheel itself, instead of having to drop the subframe again & deal with all of that mess.
I saw in this video that there is a splined hub, with a 0 degree & 180 degree missing spline, I aim wondering that will not allow for adjustment.

I think that should allow for adjustment. Just remove the steering wheel, move it one or two splices over and install it
I'm not sure if that's the proper way to do any adjustment though xD

Not a good idea. There are sensors in the system that will be displaced, and if the steering rods are different lengths, handling and tire wear will be affected. Fix what's wrong.
