S600 rear window heater
I've tried this in the "other" forum, but got no results, so i'll try here:

Something that has baffled me for a long time:
The rear heated window is covered inside with a clear plastic foil.
This foil is warped above each heating wire, resulting it to we warped like "corrugated", making the rear view very distorted.
Question: Has anybody made the same experience, i.e. is this foil actually there, or, could it be a shipping protection that was never removed?
BTW: On all my other cars the heating wires are BARE attached to the inside of the glass.

Can anybody just pass a finger(nail) over the inside of their rear heated window and report if the heating wires are bare on the glass or covered with a clear foil???
I managed to cut and peel off a small piece, and it looks and feels like heavy duty clear scotch tape.
Anybody else out there to help?
