Dome Light Module

2000 S500

It seems that I need to replace the dome light assembly. I'd like to know the following:

1. Do I need to match all the parts and service numbers when buying a used replacement?

2. When a module is replaced, do I have to code them to the car?

Regards,

Bonanza

I think that something simple as a domelight should not have to be coded to your car.

I'm using nemigaparts for the parts list when I'm on the go, and MB EPC whenever I'm home.
For nemigaparts search for 220. and you'll find all the W220's

My dome light doesn't work in automatic mode, I've scanned the car and the scan shows it's faulty.

This is the my other thread.
