PSE problems.....proper key options?
My front passenger has been acting up past 2 years, back one started this year (mostly in cold weather)....and now it seems like either the PSE is out or disabled. Trunk has the tongue sticking out.....anyways, I checked the fuse in the back, its fine. I'm pretty sure the door latch is leaking and possibly my PSE is shot.
Honestly I don't even want to bother with it, I might check the vacuum on the lines once it gets warmer. I'm not paying $500 a pop for door actuator..... It's quite disappointing that MB decided to use this type of a system on these cars. I'm trying to actually figure out why in the world they would do this? Only thing I can think of is that "god forbid, these folks can actually hear the door knob going up and down".
Anyways, I'm more than happy to use the key to open everything. The only concern is, the key is small and kind of pain to use. Is there any way to make a copy with a proper handle part of the key? How would I go about this?
Also, are there any other options? Possibly converting it to none air system?
