722.9 Transmission Limp Home
I have a 2006 S430 with 160k miles. 722.9 Transmission.
My car seems to be stuck in limp home mode. Park to drive/reverse is not as smooth as usual and it‘s stuck in one gear in drive.
Check engine light and pre-safe unavailable came on. I am showing two codes. See photo.
I took a shot in the dark last week and replaced the one Y3/8y6 solenoid with a OEM MB replacement, cleaned the other solenoids, changed the filter, and changed the trans fluid. No noticeable change. Not sure if that is because I need to clear limp home mode first. If so, is this something I can do myself? Codes are still present.
The other code mentions the brake system. Is it possible that it’s not transmission related and the brake system is feeding incorrect information?
Also, I emailed circuit board medics inquiring about possible conductor plate repair. They mentioned their repair would not address my codes.
Any ideas?
Thanks for the help!
with this foxwell scanner you can clear ones module codes at a time or whole care in one wipe. its all the same in the end
how did the old fluid look? did you ever replace the plastic round plug and the more importantly the conductor plate before?
the conductor plate is expensive new from FCP, so I got the 59.99 transmission fluid service kit on ebay, came with the plate and the whole kit.
are not the two codes you show in picture different systems? so the brake code is separate from the transmission I would agree
