2002 s600 sitting for 6 years and now nostart doesn’t crank

Hi new again to mbworld,

I wanted to get my baby up and running again after six years of sitting. I was able to periodically jumpstart in the past, but now the engine doesn’t crank. Before I go poking around in areas that I shouldn’t, is there anything else I should try besides l jumper cables to the battery in the trunk?

The V12 is such a dream when it’s running but I haven’t had the time to work on the suspension and car until now. Please help point fellow mercedes fanatic in right direction and thanks so much to n advance 🙏.

have battery tested as a dead one will not jump easily and best to have new battery.

Don’t even try to jumpstart it, remove the battery and put in a brand new one. The old one is no good, and cannot be saved, and hooking up a jumpstart to a bad old battery isn’t gonna help you.
