HI, I HAVE A 2000 S430 AND I AM HAVING A PROBLEM . IT ALL STARTED ABOUT A WEEK AGO WHEN I TURNED MY CAR ON AND THE CAR CUT OFF ON ME IN ABOUT 2 MINUTES AND WOULD NOT CUT BACK ON. I WAITED FOR ABOUT A HALF AN HOUR AND THE CAR CUT BACK ON. I DROVE AROUND ALL DAY AND IT DID NOT DO IT AGAIN. THE NEXT DAY I TURNED IT ON AND IT WAS FINE BUT THEN I DROVE ABOUT A MILE STOPPED AT THE LIGHT AND THE CAR CUT OFF ON ME AGAIN AND WOULD NOT START. I WAITED FOR ABOUT AN HOUR THIS TIME AND THE CAR CUT ON AND WAS FINE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME TO BUY DRY GAS BECAUSE IT FELT LIKE THE ENGINE HAD WATER IN IT . I BOUGHT THE DRY GAS AND THE CAR WORKED FINE BUT THE NEXT DAY IT DID IT AGAIN IT WOULD CUT OFF AFTER 2 MIN AFTER I TURNED IT ON. I HAVE IT DOWN TO A SCIENCE NOW, TO KEEP THE CAR ON ALL DAY I MUST KEEP MY FOOT GENTLY ON THE GAS WHEN I TURN IT ON FOR ABOUT 10 TO 15 MINUTES (IDILING AT ABOUT 2) THEN I CAN GO ALL DAY. I JUST GOT A TUNE UP LAST WEEK AND THE CAR HAS 85,000 MILES ON IT BUT I KEEP HER PAMPERED. AND THE CLUSTER SCREEN SHOWS NO MALFUNCTIONS . I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT ON SATURDAY WITH BENZ HAVE ANY OF YOU EVER HAD THIS PROBLEM. THANKS FOR READING MY LONG STORY GUYS.
